Social media content is the fuel of the modern social web. The days of people liking brand Facebook Pages for the novelty value are over. And cats still rate very highly on the internet content leaderboard.

Whether you're a creative person, a brand, a marketer or just interested in what makes social content meaningful, fun, clickable, engaging, or measurable -  this is the event for you.

There will be discussion around:
  • How do you take your social media content to the next level?
  • Where do you find your audience?
  • Is content the driver for interaction and engagement?
  • How do you measure what types of content are the most successful?
  • Do you have to be funny/out there/wild to be engaging?
  • Is branded content a no-no?

Our international guest speakers are:

Rachel Lovinger, Content Strategy Director at Razorfish, New York

Rachel is in town as a headline speaker at Web 3.0 The Future of Social Media Forum. For this SMCSYD event she will present "Content Gone Wild" a different slant on what she is covering at the Forum.

Rachel is passionate about content and metadata. She want to make sure that people find what they're looking for, and know how to recognize it when they find it. And she's funny.

Jason Scott

Knows about what makes content engaging. Conversing to around 1.5 million Twitter followers is a number that most celebrities aspire to, but its all in a day's tweeting and blogging for Jason Scott.

Jason will will present the story of his world famous twittering cat "Sockington", and will answer questions relating to why his cat is so popular.

The presentations will be followed by an interactive question and answer session from the audience and Twitter feed.
We're excited to be in a new venue, Tone Bar on Wentworth Avenue in Surry Hills. Look forward to seeing you there!
Our ticket price is to cost for the audio visual for the evening.
